This song touches something deep within me. K'naan is a Somalian who lived his life in this war torn nation now dominated by warlords, pirates, and poverty. Yet, he sings this song with the hope that I hear echoed by a friend of years ago. His name was Paul, and he wrote, "These things remain. Faith. Hope. Love." I hear K'naan echoing these thoughts as well.
