more died...

I'm tired of more deaths... more deaths from Ivan as it hit the coast of the southeastern U.S. on Thursday morning, and more deaths from war in Iraq. I'm not sure that we can avoid tropical storms, but I do believe we could do better being the kind of peacemakers that Jesus mentioned in his 'sermon on the mount.' Do me a favor: Don't discredit this thought as something liberal. I'm simply trying to pursue the heart of Jesus.

Senator John Edwards...

I watched the Republican thing tonight along with the President's speech. I then watched Kerry and Edwards address a crowd in Ohio. One think that I keep noticing about Edwards, he has a smile that reminds me of Bobby Kennedy. While you may not like the Kennedy family, Jack and Bobby were two people who restored hope in America. It's too bad America never got to experience Bobby as the commander-in-chief. Needless to say, I really like this Edwards guy. More than his smile, he has convictions that are worthy of noting. He also comes from 'real' working America. Go John Go!
